The Vibrant quarter of Trastevere, who’s name comes from across the river Tiber (Tras – Tevere), is a vibrant antique district of the Centro Storico, an area encompassing some of Renaissance’s Rome’s most beautiful monuments and Buildings. All within a five minute radius one can reach the Church of Santa Maria in Trastevere, the Corsini Gallery, and the famed Villa Farnesina, owned by the richest man in Renaissace Rome with fresco’s by Raffaello’s and Giulio Romano, the Trastevere Museum, and the Botanical Gardens of Rome. Trastevere is an area honeycombed with characteristic side streets lined with restaurants, café’s, outdoor faris and food markets. During the Summer, Trastevere comes alive with many street festivals and the nearby banks of the Riverside are entirely deckout with seasonal restaurants, cinema’s and art fairs along the nearby Tiber Island.
